Make pub-style beer at home any weekend you like. This American IPA recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Expensive IPA, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass.
This is the other half of a two-beer experiment: the same style as its cheaper twin, but built without cutting corners. Where the budget version rides one hop, this one layers four across a fuller malt base. The question the pair asks is whether a drinker can actually taste where the money went.
As an American IPA it still hits the expected marks, with citrus and tropical hop character over a firm bitterness and a dry finish. The Maris Otter base plus a little crystal and Munich malt gives it more backbone than a bone-dry West Coast version, so the hops have something to sit on.
