Real beer ingredients, one recipe, zero guesswork. This Dunkles Weissbier recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Dunkles Weissbier, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass.

Dunkles weissbier is the dark version of Bavarian wheat beer, and historically it came first, since dark wheat beers predate the pale ones that only modern malting made possible. The weizen yeast still runs the show with its banana and clove, but here it plays against Munich and Vienna malt that layer in bread crust, toast, and a soft caramel sweetness.

The color deepens to amber-brown, and the beer drinks a touch fuller and rounder than a pale weissbier while staying just as lively on the tongue. It is a common sight in Bavarian beer gardens and a natural next step for anyone who already likes hefeweizen.
